James Soo is an integral member of Johnson Elborne’s Asia-Pacific team, based in Singapore alongside Douglas Ferguson. He focuses on front-office recruitment across both physical and financial commodity markets, working with trading houses, investment banks, and hedge funds to identify and place top-tier talent across the region.

With a background in headhunting and business development, James brings a meticulous and relationship-driven approach to search. His understanding of market trends and industry dynamics enables him to provide valuable insights to clients and candidates alike, strengthening Johnson Elborne’s presence in the APAC commodities space.

James holds a degree in Commerce from Curtin University. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family.
